Our exciting new course for 2012 is all about producing high quality video with the Canon 5D MkII.
Whether your are new to camerawork, trying to get a foot in the door, need to transfer your operating skills to using a DSLR, or someone who wants to expand their stills photography skills - this course will really fast track your experience.
Your tutor Graham Berry, a Bafta award winning TV lighting cameraman and cinematographer, will lead you through this 6 day course, getting to grips with how to shoot HD video using a Digital SLR and avoid the pitfalls
During this time you will learn how to get the best out of the camera, discovering shooting techniques, lighting and more. You will be recording sound using the camera and an external Zoom H4N recorder. Footage will be edited using the affordable Avid Pinnacle Studio software.
From initial concept through storyboard and shot list to final production and post production, you will cover the workflow of events. You will be shooting cameos in various genres that a professional camera person might encounter (e.g. action, drama, news gathering, documentary, live events). With ample time to practice and improve under the guidance of your tutor this course will give you a solid base for filming in the future.
Although we will be concentrating on using the Canon 5d MkII HDSLR most of the techniques are applicable to any high end DSLR with video mode.
